Tinsle Town are a very able and experienced covers band or covers and ceilidh band with over 20 years of experience between them. Not only do the band offer the variety of covers and ceilidh but to please everybody they can also supply a disco for a small extra cost The dance floor is sure to be busy all night.
There are either 4 or 5 members of the band depending on your requirements. If you would like a little ceilidh (30 minutes) the band can provide this although for those wedding and functions requiring a little more they can add in an accordionist who also calls.
The bands front man is Ian who is not only a superb singer and guitarist but also a top class entertainer who always has the audience in the palm of his hands. With over 400 weddings under his belt he is sure to make your wedding/function a special event to be remembered. Ian has played in Riff Raff, Cut It Short and The L.A. Showband to mention just a few.
Dougie is the bands arranger who also plays the guitar, mandolin, bozouki whistles, keyboards and sings. If you have a specific song in mind for your first dance just leave it to Dougie. With his state of the art recording equipment and the band with their top class musical talents the arrangements will not leave you dissapointed. The semi-live element to this band is second to none with Dougies arranging talents. Forget miming to backing tracks, these folks can really play and give you a marvelously full natural sound. Dougie has worked with Troy Donnockley, a respected instrumentalist who has also worked with Barbara Dickson and Midge Ure.
Nancy is also a multi instrumentalist playing bass sax, flute, guitar, keyboards and vocals. With over 400 weddings and functions under her belt Nancy brings a wealth of experience to the band as well as that female element which so many bands are missing.
Angie has been a front singer for a few excellent rock bands who have toured in Europe and the UK. She is a stunning singer who also plays percussion, and we don't mean just a tambourine.
The band have a brand new 2k calsboro sound system (massive sound if required), but always a GREAT sound. They will turn the volume up or down at the clients request. Lights are too many to mention but they are stunning. The also have a brand new VW 2.5 turbo diesel van which is very reliable. Tinsel Town are very strict about their timekeeping and like to get to gigs early to set up.
So if you are looking for a reliable wedding or function band in Scotland from Glasgow to Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Fife, Ayrshire or the Borders then Tinsel Town are for you. Distance is no object. They have played weddings and functions all over Scotland.
