ObSession was formed in 1995 by 5 musicians with an aim to provide top quality, sophisticated live music to cater for a wide taste in music.

ObSession plays a broad variety of music from mainstream jazz, swing, ceilidh, pop, latin and mellow dinner background music. The band also provide 'calling' for the ceilidh dances to help the uninitiated!

ObSession play over 50 weddings a year and the music for these events are successfully performed at a high-tempo helping your wedding go with a swing. The band plays music to cater for all tastes and changes its programme to suit the audience accordingly. The music can be performed covering all the decades from the 1940's to current pop. The band also plays many corporate and social dances for all occasions.

ObSession has played at very prestigious events such as the European Champions League Cup Final VIP suite at Hampden in 2002. The band has played at all the 5* star hotels in the Central Belt such as the Balmoral, Caledonian, Gleneagles and Turnberry as well as country castles such as Duns Castle, Dundas Castle,and Dalhousie Castle.

The band consists of

Vocals – Karen
A versatile vocalist with many years experience performing live in front of a large audience. Karen has played the world famous Cavern Club in the city of Liverpool, one of the biggest venues in the UK to showcase live bands and tribute acts.

Saxophone – Ian
Experienced as a lead instrumentalist spanning concert bands to the jazz and club scene.

Bass – Billy
Touring for many years, playing concerts with leading artists such as Chris De Burgh whilst recording on the A&M record label.

Keyboards – Clive
Classically trained with experience from a young age playing with bands in the London and Edinburgh areas.

Drums – Paul
Played, recorded and toured Europe with Rock, Pop,Blues, Jazz / Funk, Gospel bands and artists. Supported Van Morrison ,The Dammed , Haircut 100 and Aswad.
