Testimonials

"Hi,

We wanted to contact you to say how delighted we were with Sound Cradle and the flute/guitar duo at our wedding and reception. We so enjoyed partying the night away. We haven't danced so much in ages! Everyone was commenting on how great the band was, it really helped to make our evening!!

Kind Regards, Mr and Mrs Slattery"

"Hi Guys

Sorry its taken me so long to say a massive THANK YOU for playing at our ball. You were fantastic, everyone really had a fab time and commented on what a great band you were. We raised £3800 which was a lot more than expected. This money will pay for one child to go on a holiday of a lifetime and give us a little extra to spend on treats for the group.

Thanks again

love Stacey"

"Hi Karen (from Central Music Agency),
We are off on our Honeymoon now, but before we go I have to ask if you could pass our thanks onto the Band and DJ, They absolutely made our night.
From the moment Matthew and the guys started to play, the dance floor was packed. Not only was their playing and singing fantastic but I think you'll go a long way to find more pleasant people to look after you on your special day.
I have had no end of phone calls saying how good the band were from our family and friends.
Kind regards
Kerryanne & Sammy Riggins"

"June 9th, Edinburgh Zoo
Hi,

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for doing such a fantastic set at our wedding 2 weeks' ago. Everyone said how great the band were, and it was brilliant to see everyone up dancing and having such a good time. You made my dad's and brother's day when you did Sunshine on Leith - so thank you for that. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sound Cradle to anyone!

Thanks again

Rachel & Lewis Davies"

"17th August, House for an Art Lover

Hi guys

Just to say thanks a million for Friday night at House for an Art Lover, you really had the dance floor packed and we couldn't have asked for a better band for our evening reception! Your set list was perfect. Angus was very chuffed with your rendition of Sunday Jen! Hope you didn't mind Mark hopping onto the drums for a bit but I think he was struggling to hold himself back!

Thanks again

Sarah & Angus"

Sound Cradle are a 4 piece totally live band. If you are looking for a band who play up to date music mixed with the usual covers from all eras and a bit of ceilidh then Sound Cradle are what you have been looking for. Not only does the ceilidh music sound like a real ceilidh (with accordion sound) but it is fully charged with a modern edge and called to keep your guests on track. They are not a cheesy wedding band with a cheesy wedding singer but a good function, party, pub and festival band. You are always guaranteed a highly entertaining and enjoyable evening that won't be forgotten. We often receive emails saying how much the band were enjoyed.

The band consists of 4 guys, 3 of whom take turns at lead vocals with all 4 harmonising when needed. The instrumentation is as follows

Stuart Blackwood - Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals and Guitar.
Andy McClean - Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Keys and DJ for your disco.
Matthew McKellar - Backing Vocals and Bass Guitar.
Donald Watson - Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Caller for Ceilidh and Drums.

If you have a specific song in mind for your first dance the band would be happy to perform it or they can supply a CD player or mp3 player if you would rather have the original. Sound Cradle can also offer a disco with the band if needed. On booking you would be put in touch with the band to discuss the finer details of the night.

The band recently played top of the bill at Kilsyth International Carnival where the organisers commented "Sound Cradle are a lively and popular four-piece with a very busy schedule of gigs. They played the West End Festival this year, craft some very authentic cover versions of major hits, and are without a doubt one of the best professional bands ever to play KIC, a surprise apprearance not to be missed!"
