Gilston Strains When the duo Gilston Strains was born it saw the coming together of two already experienced and talented performers. This meeting of two very seasoned musicians brought a vast amount of variety to their set list which includes pop, rock, swing, folk, ceilidh and Scottish. With this amount of variety there is always something to please everyone. The duo is ideal if you are having a smaller wedding with not a lot of space for the entertainment to set up in or if you are running on a small budget. Angus Park Angus is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Over the years he has sung in many successful bands and is the type of guy you don’t want to sing after at a karaoke. With singing heavy rock to church music this should give you an idea of his versatility. Clark Leiper Clark is the man behind the music, producing all of the midi backing tracks needed for the duo. He is the lead guitarist and harmony vocalist. Clark also plays in the very successful 6 piece band Shoestring who can be found in our covers and ceilidh section.
Apart from playing weddings, Gilston Strains also do a lot of charity work, burns suppers, church music and Hogmanay celebrations.
