Harp music is best described as ethereal, and a classical harpist will add elegance to any formal occasion. A harp can create a very special ambience for any wedding ceremony or special event.
The harp, one of the most ancient instruments in the world, is also one of the most beautiful. The tone is mellow and soothing, yet equally stirring and lilting when occasion demands. Its perfection lies in its versatility. Harpists can play a variety of music including Celtic, classical, sacred, or pop. Just imagine how this aurally and visually lovely instrument could lending its own unique magic to your special occasion.
Our featured harpist Ellen is originally from Temple, Midlothian and was taught by the renowned musician and teacher Alison Kinnaird MBE. Ellen herself is now a teacher and performer.
With years of experience playing for wedding ceremonies, receptions and corporate functions Ellen can give your event the professionalism and individuality you would expect. With enough notice Ellen will consider any requests for music.
Having played at Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, Gleneagles Hotel and Holyrood Palace where she has performed for Royalty you could say she has done it all.
